Oooh, that Nigella Lawson, she is handy with a spatula

Gotta love the roast vegetables. Perfect for that "too exhausted, want to blob in front of brainless television - but not reality TV, never reality TV" night.
Take, several potatoes, some carrots, a bit of pumpkin, anything else in the fridge of a veggie nature that hasn't already got its own micro universe of mould. Go to the garden, cut off some rosemary. Chop rosemary and veggies roughly, toss into baking dish, slick it up with a really good olive oil and whack into the oven at 180 degrees centigrade (sorry, no idea what this is in farenheit) for about 30 minutes.
Take tongs and turn veggies over at about the 20 minute mark. A bit of sea salt, a few twists of the pepper grinder and Bob's your uncle.
Too easy - now I can go watch Grand Designs

Nice to see you back. Oven? Oven? Oh yes, the big box on the wall that fights with the other box, the um, air conditioner. Better to toss it all in the big box outside (grill)this time of year. We have the 3 H's right now. Hazy, Hot and Humid. You're having Fall/Winter now aren't you? Hubby wants to know if it snows in Australia. Are the Summers wet or dry?

Rosemary would make a box of nails taste good. I have it planted outside my front door.

Yummers!

Ovens and I are not friendly. In fact, I think I can say with 100% accuracy that ovens actively loathe me, so much so that they make attempts on my life whenever I dare approach them. Having been attacked 3 times and survived, I'm afraid Nigella's recipes will have to remain unused on my end.

OK - to answer to comments above in chronological order:
1) Fairscape. Yes, it nippy and cold here but not snow in the "burbs. However, if you drive about 5 hours north to the mountains, the skiing season is about to begin. Summers here are generally dry and pretty hot.
2) Box of nails, bolts, anything else you care to mention - rosemary makes it all taste good and have I mentioned coriander (I think it is called cilantro ? where you are)
3)tea - I will attempt to come up with some yumnmy microwave recipes in the near future to protect you from any nasty oven incidents

Nope, Cilantro tastes like crap. The Mexicans in these parts can't get enough of it and unfortunately they think gringo ought to eat lots of it too. I spray for that crap.
