(sung in a sweet voice)
"ah ooo, ah ooo, la la la la, oooooooaaaaaaahhhh, "giggle", "giggle", la la la la la, woooooooooo"
Yes nature lovers, it is the love call of the rare spotted little fella. Nestled in his native habitat - his cot, he sings to his mummy trying to break her spirit after bed time so she will come to him to give him yet another cuddle (3 million and 59) and some more stories.
Many mummies (mommies) have buckled under the pressure of such seductive lyricism. Even the strongest have crumbled. Not I, I have sat down at the computer to blog instead.
What a hard-hearted mummified......

That never ends - I still have to put up with attention deficits, only now it is with dogs. Whether it is the whiskers of a horse-sized dog tickling my elbow, or the less subtle nose under the hand, I spend a lot of time petting dogs. Fortunately, as with kids, it is highly therapeutic. Bonus - lots of holding and touching in your baby's life now lessens the chance of him becoming some sort of strung-out nutter later.
When my husband was a child he once told his Mom that Mom stood for "Mean old Mom."
You have to give them something to talk about in therapy.
Hi Sarah,
Mean old mom - I like it. I am sure it will get a real workout later on as little fella grows up. For now, it is mostly just bliss and cuddles.
And PK - I promise I will continue to snuggle and kiss little fella as much as I can get away with before he learns the words " Oh mummified, you are so embarrassing)
I just gave our li'l darlins the back o' me hand, that's why they turned out to be so goofy.
Awwwwww, how sweet! May he forever cherish the wonderful mummy you are. :-)
Just wait until he is a teenager. I'm not telling you why, just treasure these moments whilst you can.
